Senior Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to support core accounting and financial reporting functions within a professional financial setting for one of our valued clients in Largo, FL. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information while supporting business decision-making and compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, a solid understanding of financial operations, and experience working in structured financial or corporate environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve variances
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance and operations
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience working in financial, corporate, or regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP or accounting systems preferred
  • CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
